Notes from Brooks meeting (1/21/09)

To Do for this week
Wireframe or sketch of the GUI.

Goal for this is friday - post on general board for voting over the weekend and on monday

API draft
The wireframe / sketch of the GUI will write most of this for us. This is just a draft, but still, it would be nice to have it thought out and nearing completion by mondayish

Upcoming thoughts
UML diagrams.
-would probably be best to negotiate with other groups so we all use the same software to create these.

Other things we learned
The operating system is windows.
The web server is running Apache.
We can expect a reasonable framerate for the image feeds. Latency might be the bigger issue.
if we need accounts on the machines in the labs, contact lyu@clemson.edu
For the login, it's best to avoid shared accounts, instead using individual accounts and a "rover" to log in to.

Dr. Brooks wrote:
Each week, the day before the meeting an email containing:

In meeting, you start with overview of email items. Then each person
explains their items in turn.

In general, it is a good idea to give the manager the
feeling that steady progress is being achieved. It is an
even better idea to inform the manager as quickly as possible
if for some reason progress is not being achieved.

Draft of the API

Sending Dr Brooks an email with this in the next hour or so, lemme know if there's any discrepancies

we have a better sketch now but make sure you get that UML done and we figure out what else we need for the API

Ryan, you need to delegate these duties via email if you are having problems getting them done, I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing except drawing up the charts and starting to mess with PHP and Flash. We need to get these documents in order because its 10% of our grade.
