Project Requirements
The project requirements
-------------------------------------
As listed in the syllabus
Log in from an https://
- We haven't looked into the login system yet, but this should be probably one of the early tasks of the project. Just so we can start testing our functionality as early as possible.
Send remote instructions to the robot over the local wi-fi network
- This is the biggest challenge of the group, from my perspective. It could also be one of the easiest. We need to see what is already in place to send messages, and use those as needed. The rest of the project cannot work without this.
Interface with the following required directions
- Most of these are going to be dependent on what we have to work with, whether it's apache or java applets or whatever.
-- Move the robot physically
- Just needs buttons on the GUI and an attached function to send.
-- pan, tilt, or zoom the camera
- Just needs buttons on the GUI and an attached function to send.
-- aim the nerf dart
- Just needs buttons on the GUI and an attached function to send.
-- shoot the dart
- Just needs a button on the GUI and an attached function to send.
-- video or image stream
- This will likely be our other "big" part of the project. We need to retrieve an image from the camera group (still TBD how that's going to work) This will be one of, if not the last thing we do.
