RFID cards Empty RFID cards

Post  rbrenan Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:09 am

I cut my card last night. As I expected, once you get the sides off it is two layers of plastic which can be pulled apart. The RFID is printed on one of the pieces of plastic in some kind of metal. Most of the RFID is an antenna that loops around the outside of the card. I think it is possible that a card could be taken apart and stripped down to only the one layer with the tag printed on it, and then that piece of the card could be rolled up and taped around a dart. You guys (I got kicked out of the group) will have to make sure that the two layers of plastic can be separated without hurting the RFID and that the RFID can be read if its antenna is wrapped around the dart instead of lying flat.
