Complied documentation (please contribute)
Okay everyone,
This here is a stub outline of the documentation that is due April 15th (8 days from time of posting)
Basically, fill this in with your group stuff..
Proofread it.
Post it up again.
I'd like to see this finished by this upcoming weekend, giving us monday and tuesday to turn it from this word document to a "pretty" PDF and find errors, etc.
So....with that said, here's the basic outline,
Current Documentation

and here is documentation from two years ago to give you an idea of what we're trying to get

Nerf Cam docs
http://www.mediafire.com/file/namktjmx5z0/System documentation ECE453-spring09-jdinger.doc
This should all be pretty good, except possibly the stuff under Installation in the Appendices. The nerf libraries are still valid from my CVS account, they just need to be recompiled using Visual Studio 05 to work with comms.
Peasley's stuff could be all outdated, I have no clue.

Re: Complied documentation (please contribute)
THE END!!!
Read it, like it (or don't), fix it...if you don't by 10, I'm making it a pdf and sending it to Brooks:

Re: Complied documentation (please contribute)
Fixed a couple of typos. I tried to make section 5.2 make sense, but I'm not totally sure of the accuracy now.
Anyway, linky:

Re: Complied documentation (please contribute)
The appendices aren't finished. Please proofread the rest, make sure it flows ok. Pay special attention to the Demonstration and the Issues. Also, look at appendix B and see if you have any ideas.
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/605451/System-documentation-ECE453-spring09-newestest3.doc
It has been suggested we use this for the demonstration part:
All system components, hardware and software, will be initialized in
accordance with the user’s guide (see Appendix B). The web interface
will then be used to demonstrate functionality of the entire system,
including both rovers, with the following steps:
1.) Movement of the rovers will be demonstrated by moving the rovers
forward, backward, left and right using the W,S,A, and D keys respectively.
2.) Movement of the Nerf guns will be demonstrated by moving the guns
left, right, up and down using the arrow keys.
3.) The Nerf guns will be fired using the spacebar.
4.) Camera functionality will be demonstrated by zooming in and out with
the rover cameras and moving both the rovers and Nerf guns to
demonstrate the image streams.
5.) Hits will be demonstrated by placing a Nerf dart on the sensors.
When the hit is detected, the rovers will lose the ability to move and a
message will be displayed on the users' screens.
